Guest: GRAHAM MOORE
A tad later than usual, confirming as at 15:45 that this is going ahead [we haven't heard from Graham to the contrary]. Also, STOP PRESS, we're expecting floor-spots from ROD BIGGS [organizer, Ringwood Folk Club] and his partner PAULA DIAPER, an all-too-rarely heard voice delivering traditional songs.
Renowned Dorset singer and songwriter GRAHAM MOORE makes a welcome return visit. He accompanies himself on guitar or English concertina in a wide repertoire of traditional and original material. Most distinctively, he’s written “folk-operas” (Tolpuddle Man, Dick O' The Banks) which have been mounted countrywide. In concert he performs with a passion certain to ignite strong chorus participation. His songs, such as Tom Paine’s Bones, Captain Swing and Tolpuddle Man, have received international acclaim and been recorded by the likes of Dick Gaughan and the late Roy Bailey.
Except for £7 door-charge, usual Doghouse Guest night arrangements: preliminary singaround, raffle in the break. M.C. Jon Ellis, his last Guest M.C.-ing stint before swanning back off to India :-) to avoid the English winter.
