NOMAD are a local trio comprising two folks familiar to us at FOCSLE Music, plus a musician less known to us. ALAN SLIPPER (vocal, guitar, banjo, mandolin) attends about half our meets, often along with his wife HEATHER (vocal, 2nd guitar, mandolin, fiddle, whistles). Banjoist JIM BROWN (also vocal, guitar, harmonica) spends part of his time in Canada, hence NOMAD get together only some of each year. They delivered contemporary and Trad. songs in several genres, mostly American Old Time, English & Celtic. Due to our tiny space, they minimized the number of items they brought, and efficiently kept swapping roles.
As usual, a singaround preceded the guests' part of the evening. M.C.: Paul Clarke
